What rhinoplasty does
Rhinoplasty — a “nose job” — refines the size, profile, tip or width of the nose, and can correct a deviated septum that blocks breathing. The surgeon reshapes bone and cartilage through incisions inside the nostrils (closed) or with one tiny external incision (open).
- You are in good general health and a non-smoker (or can pause before surgery)
- Your facial growth is complete — generally 18+
- You want to refine the bridge, tip or profile, or improve breathing
- You hold realistic expectations and can stay ~10 days for recovery
Open, closed & tip surgery
All incisions hidden inside the nostrils — no external scar. Best for smaller refinements, with less swelling and faster healing. From ฿34,000 (~$1,000).
Adds one tiny incision across the columella for full access — ideal for complex reshaping, tip work and revision. The small scar fades to near-invisible.
Focused refinement of the tip, or building a higher bridge with cartilage or an implant — a signature strength of Thai and Korean surgeons for Asian noses.

Your recovery, week by week
An external splint protects the nose. Bruising around the eyes and swelling peak now. Rest with your head elevated; PIMORA arranges private recovery accommodation.
The cast and any external sutures come off at about one week. The nose looks swollen but presentable. Most bruising is fading.
By two weeks most bruising and swelling have settled enough to return to work and social life — with surgeon clearance before you fly.
The shape looks natural to others. About 90% of swelling has resolved; the tip is the slowest area to refine.
The last of the deep swelling resolves and the definitive shape settles. PIMORA coordinates remote follow-ups with your surgeon after you return home.
Is it safe to have rhinoplasty abroad?
Yes — with the right surgeon and hospital. Thailand has more than 60 JCI-accredited hospitals, the fourth-highest number of any country, meaning independent international inspection of safety and quality. PIMORA only works with board-certified surgeons at accredited facilities, and stays involved through your recovery and follow-up.
- Choose a board-certified plastic surgeon
- Confirm who provides your follow-up care
- Allow enough time before flying home
- Treat only at accredited (JCI) hospitals

Rhinoplasty questions, answered
How much does rhinoplasty cost in Thailand?
In 2025, closed rhinoplasty ranges from about ฿34,000–78,000 (USD 1,000–2,300) and complex open rhinoplasty from ฿99,000–136,000 (USD 2,900–4,000) — roughly 50–70% below US, UK or Australian prices. Your exact quote depends on technique and case.
How long is recovery after rhinoplasty?
The splint comes off around day 7. Most bruising and swelling settle within two weeks, so many people return to work then. About 90% of swelling resolves by three months, with the final shape appearing up to 12 months.
When can I fly home after a nose job?
Most PIMORA patients stay about 10 days and fly home from day 10–14, once the splint is off and the surgeon clears them. Cabin-pressure changes can strain healing tissue, so earlier flights are discouraged.
Is rhinoplasty in Thailand safe?
When performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon at a JCI-accredited hospital, yes. Thailand has 60+ JCI-accredited hospitals — the fourth-highest in the world. PIMORA only works with surgeons registered with the Medical Council of Thailand.
Open vs closed rhinoplasty — what's the difference?
Closed rhinoplasty hides all incisions inside the nostrils and suits smaller refinements with faster healing. Open rhinoplasty adds a tiny incision across the columella for fuller access — better for complex reshaping, tip work and revision.
Will it leave a visible scar?
Closed rhinoplasty leaves no external scar. Open rhinoplasty leaves a small scar across the columella that usually fades to near-invisible within a few months. Incisions inside the nose are never visible.
